Game/Home Day Cookies
Share
For match days, quiet afternoons, and everything in between.
Simple cookies, shaped like a tennis racket. Bake them when you want to slow down, do something with your hands, and stay off-screen for a bit.
Ingredients
-
½ cup butter (softened)
-
½ cup sugar
-
¼ cup milk or thick curd (Curd gives a softer cookie. Milk keeps it slightly crisp.)
-
1 tsp vanilla extract
-
1½ cups all-purpose flour
-
½ tsp baking powder
-
A pinch of salt
Method
-
Cream butter and sugar until light.
-
Add milk/curd and vanilla. Mix well.
-
Gently fold in flour, baking powder, and salt to form a soft dough.
-
Chill dough for 20–30 minutes.
-
Roll out and cut into an oval (racket head) and small rectangle (handle).
-
Join lightly and place on a lined tray.
-
Bake at 170°C for 10–12 minutes, until edges turn light golden.
-
Cool completely before decorating.
Decorating
-
White icing or melted white chocolate for strings
-
A simple green grip for the handle
Keep it minimal — imperfect is perfect.
How to Enjoy
After a game.
With tea.
Or while sitting quietly, doing nothing at all.
Raari thought:
Real joy lives in small, honest moments — baking, sharing, slowing down. These cookies are just an excuse.
