Game/Home Day Cookies

Game/Home Day Cookies

For match days, quiet afternoons, and everything in between.

Simple cookies, shaped like a tennis racket. Bake them when you want to slow down, do something with your hands, and stay off-screen for a bit.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup butter (softened)

  • ½ cup sugar

  • ¼ cup milk or thick curd (Curd gives a softer cookie. Milk keeps it slightly crisp.)

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1½ cups all-purpose flour

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • A pinch of salt

Method

  1. Cream butter and sugar until light.

  2. Add milk/curd and vanilla. Mix well.

  3. Gently fold in flour, baking powder, and salt to form a soft dough.

  4. Chill dough for 20–30 minutes.

  5. Roll out and cut into an oval (racket head) and small rectangle (handle).

  6. Join lightly and place on a lined tray.

  7. Bake at 170°C for 10–12 minutes, until edges turn light golden.

  8. Cool completely before decorating.

Decorating

  • White icing or melted white chocolate for strings

  • A simple green grip for the handle
Keep it minimal — imperfect is perfect.

How to Enjoy

After a game.
With tea.
Or while sitting quietly, doing nothing at all.

Raari thought:
Real joy lives in small, honest moments — baking, sharing, slowing down. These cookies are just an excuse.
